A buzz is spreading around about none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of ‘Andhadhun‘. If all goes positive, the diva will act on the role played by Tabu originally. It is heard that Mohan Raja had chosen to direct the Tamil movie accompanied by Thiagarajan as the producer.
Both of them had met with Sriram Raghavan who was the director of the original Hindi version of the movie. But Mohan Raja was held up with a few things and the producer approached to JJ Fredrick to direct the Tamil remake.
The makers have spoken to Aishwarya for the role played by Tabu. If all goes well, the production team wants to begin the filming in Pondicherry from December this year. If Aishwarya confirms, it will be the second project after ‘Jeans’ starring Prasanth and Ash together.
It is in talks that Prasanth has already changed his looks for the movie. He has lost a huge weight and getting ready to appear on screen with a sporting look.
The makers are now scripting the story for the Tamil remake. The main structure of ‘Andhadhun’ will be the same, but a few portions will be changed. They are thinking that the story will be remade in other South Indian languages too. So they are emphasizing on proper casting.
In the original story, an antagonist’s role was played by Tabu. Her husband was killed by Tabu herself along with her lover. The makers want the Kollywood viewers to relate the movie with themselves. So that they have made up their minds about changing some key elements of the plot.
