Ghostbusters Afterlife, the third installment in the Ghostbuster franchise has a story that ties into the first two movies, says the Afterlife star, Ernie Hudson. Ghostbuster 3 is finally coming, after years of struggle. The second installment of the series introduced some fresh characters and also a female-led team.
It is being heard that the third one will be a direct sequel to the second movie. Fans will be happy to watch it as they are waiting for it for a long time. The story of the Afterlife focuses on a single mother, the role played by Carrie Coon, who shifts to another town with her children, the roles played by McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard. They find out that their family has ties to the Ghostbusters, which dates back to thirty years ago.

Some of the original cast of Ghostbusters who played the iconic roles will return in this film again. Paul Rudd will be introduced in Ghostbusters Afterlife. While the second installment in the franchise released in 2016 got mixed reactions from the fans, the third one seems to be exactly the sequel to Ghostbuster which fans are looking for.
Earlier, Wolfhard, the Stranger Things star, shared that this movie will be faithful to the 1984 original film. Hudson who will play Winston Zeddemore this time too, has promised the same recently. He has told that this film is in line with what the fans are expecting. But when he read the script of Afterlife, he got really excited. Fans speculate that Grace and Wolfhard may be showed as Egon’s grandchildren in this movie.
The first trailer of Afterlife released last December and the movie will be released in March 2021.
