Ginny Weds Sunny Review: Film Seems Unbearable Due To Its Poor Script

Puneet Khanna’s ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’ could not be considered as an up to the mark movie to the viewers. Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey starrer movie has showed the plot of a middle class family’s wedding story.

Ginny Weds Sunny

The rom-com movie has featured all the wedding rituals of a Punjabi family along with song, dance and enjoyment with lots of relatives. But it could not reach the desired level.

The plot showed that Sunny’s father wants to get his son married and the obeying son fulfills his father’s wish. Ginny is showed as a confused character who is ready to marry as her mother wants it.

Though Ginny had an ex in her life, it could not create any relevant plot in the story. Sunny’s role is played by Vikrant Massey and Ginny’s role is played by Yami Gautam.

Suhail Nayyar has played the role of the ex in Ginny’s life. The way in which the script is written is absolutely pointless. Where the director and scriptwriter tried to put in some fun, those scenes ended with some confusing and baseless plots and dialogues.

It was released on Netflix and badly let down because of the poor script. When the story has no meaning at all, the actors have to bear the responsibility to carry out the whole. But Vikrant Massey was really a miscast for the role of Sunny.

Though he is a talented actor and already acknowledged for other movies released on Netflix, the director has failed to use him in the proper way. Instead of the script, he emphasized more on the songs and dances. So, the whole thing ended up being meaningless for pallid writing.
