Johannes Roberts Announces The Cast Of Resident Evil Reboot

Resident Evil Reboot will arrive next year and the cast of the movie has already been announced. The story of the film is based on Japanese game. A Resident Evil original story set will be seen in the movie which will feature a fateful night in 1998 Raccoon City. In 1996, the first Resident Evil game was released in PlayStation. Since then it is favorite to the fans.

Johannes Roberts started working on this project two years before. Since then, 47 Meters Down has teased about the project. Earlier, Paul W.S. Anderson had adapted the games for a series of movies. Six movies were made, but controversies buzzed around those films. Milla Jovovich had played the role of Alice in all movies.

But the movies differed from the source and the quality decreased gradually. Instead of focusing on the horror part, the makers tried to get fame by showing the top action scenes. So, when Johannes announced that he will direct the movie, 47 Meters Down has emphasized on following the origin to get faith from the audience.

While Maze Runner’s Kaya Scodelario will play the role of Claire Redfield, Ant-Man and The Wasp’s Hannah-John Kamen will be seen as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Reboot.

Some of the TV actors will play the other roles of the game series. Claire’s brother Chris Redfield’s role will be played by Robbie Amell. Neal McDonough will play the role of Yellowstone.

Tom Hopper will be seen as Albert Wesker and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy. The production will soon start and it will be released in 2021. Another animation project based on the game is coming on Netflix in 2021. So, the Resident Evil Reboot will face competition.
